Apple To Redesign iPhone in October

Posted on July 16, 2010

At the Q&A session today with Steve and the crew in Cupertino, we asked “why the September 30 cutoff date?”. The cutoff date in question is for the free iPhone 4 cases provided by Apple.

“We just are going to wait and see, maybe we’ll have a better idea. It’s just a chance to say we’ll reevaluate it in September.” says Steve.

Sounds like we might be getting a new iteration of the iPhone in October. It’ll probably just be a minor change, like a non-conductive acrylic laminant to cover up that “sweet spot” on the phone. However, it could be a complete redesign of the phone itself.

Whatever it is, Apple is undoubtably working on it as we speak, and we’ll just have to wait and see until the fall.
