Apple To Hold iPhone 4 Press Conference Friday

Posted on July 15, 2010

This Friday Apple plans on holding a press conference in Cupertino to discuss the iPhone 4, and the numerous problems and debates the handset has sprouted.

No further details about this event were made available to the public. Apple simply stated on Wednesday that they would be holding the event at Friday, July 16, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

The announcement came on the day of the iOS 4.1 release, which as already been reported as not doing what it was designed to do. The iPhone 4 has been a hot topic ever since it’s late June release, many consumers complaining about the faulty antenna in the device causing drastic loss of signal strength when the device was gripped the wrong way. Coverage of this issue reached a boiling point earlier this week when Consumer Reports said it could not recommend the device due to the faulty antenna.

” When your finger or hand touches a spot on the phone’s lower left side—an easy thing, especially for lefties—the signal can significantly degrade enough to cause you to lose your connection altogether if you’re in an area with a weak signal” stated in its Monday review.

The iPhone has been a hot topic all over the world over the past week, with people like David Letterman and the car review show Top Gear both poking fun at its problems.

The Apple’s stock has actually fallen 3.8 points after its continuous upward trend in 2009.
