Posted on July 14, 2010

Acer plans to launch 7 and 10 inch tablet PC’s in the fourth quarter of 2010, both of them to be based on the ARM architecture and Android. Unlike their current line of black and white ebook readers, the tablets will feature full color, multi-touch displays and will run Android 2.2 with flash support, something the current tablet leader, the iPad, lacks.

However, Acer says it plans on continuing production of it’s ebook readers and is already negotiating  with telecom carrier Far EasTone Telecommunications for cooperation in Taiwan.
